We reserve the right to refuse service for any garment that we determine cannot be altered or repaired safely or satisfactorily, or if we believe the requested work may damage the garment beyond repair.

Service Terms and Conditions

Consultations and Quotes

We provide initial consultations to assess your garment needs and provide service quotes. All quotes are estimates based on our assessment at the time of consultation. The final cost may vary if additional work is required once we begin the alteration or repair process. We will notify you of any significant price changes before proceeding with additional work.

Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. After this period, we reserve the right to reassess the work and provide an updated quote if necessary.

Service Timeline

We strive to complete all work within the timeframe discussed during your consultation. However, completion times are estimates and may vary depending on the complexity of the work, current workload, and unforeseen circumstances. We will inform you of any significant delays as soon as possible.

Rush services may be available for an additional fee, subject to our current workload and the nature of the required work. Please inquire about rush service availability when scheduling your consultation.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept various payment methods including cash, credit cards, and debit cards. A deposit may be required for certain services, particularly for expensive or complex alterations.

If payment is not received within 30 days of service completion, we reserve the right to charge late fees and retain possession of your garment until payment is received in full.

Garment Care and Responsibility

While we take great care in handling your garments, you acknowledge that alterations and repairs involve inherent risks. We are not responsible for:

• Pre-existing damage, wear, or defects in the garment
• Color fading or running that may occur during pressing or steaming
• Damage resulting from weak or deteriorated fabric
• Shrinkage or stretching of fabric beyond our control
• Loss or damage to decorative elements such as beads, sequins, or buttons that are already loose or insecurely attached
• Failure of fabric that is already compromised or of poor quality

We will inform you of any concerns or potential issues we identify during our initial assessment. It is your responsibility to disclose any known issues with your garment before we begin work.

Unclaimed Garments

Completed garments must be picked up within 60 days of notification that the work is complete. After this period, we reserve the right to dispose of unclaimed garments or donate them to charity. We will make reasonable efforts to contact you before disposing of any unclaimed items.

Storage fees may apply for garments not picked up within 30 days of completion notification.

Claims made after 7 days of pickup may not be eligible for remediation, as we cannot verify the condition of the garment or whether any issues arose after leaving our care.

These Terms of Use and any disputes arising from or relating to them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Arbitration

Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms of Use or our services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Chicago, Illinois. You waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action lawsuit.
